Organizing Your Class Incentives!
Organizing Your Class Incentives!
So we have 29 days left of school. Is it too early to start cleaning up? LoL Well I usually clean up early because the end of year can get hectic with paperwork and filing. I like to clean up early just to make sure I get everything done on time and dont drive myself crazy at the end of the year.
I first start with my posters. Heres what it looked like with all the posters finally down.
I usually throw my posters in my closet and hope they stay in place for when I come back from the summer. Since they are laminated they usually get all clumpy from being in a closet the entire hot and sweaty summer. So I went on a hunt! I checked out my latest obsession Really Good Stuff to see what kind of storage they had up their sleeves.
And I was right, they did!

No thats not me if your wondering. But I love this idea of holding the posters nice and organized.
So yes, obviously I had to order it!
Okay so I couldnt help it. This is me!
LoL
If you notice the model and I have the same *Blending Posters* in the bag!

It really is great. Its so easy and simple.
If you think this is something you totally need, click HERE to take you there to grab. Its only $14.99 and totally worth the money.
Moving on.
My students are hyper and I mean really HYPER. We still have 29 days left and they are so excited for summer. Its hard to stomp on their parade and let them know we still have work to get done.
So when I ordered the organizer for posters, I also bought these cute rewards for my little ones. Its so cute!

These are bracelets that come with different praising quotes to let your little ones know they have done a great job. What I love about them is that they are Scratch and Sniffs! I usually dont go for those smelly pencils or scratch stickers because the smell is so strong. The smell on these is like heaven! Some of them smell like cake. Ugh it makes me hungry!
Isnt it too cute? I love them. I showed my little ones today and they were so excited to work for it!
I ordered 2 packs. In a pack comes 90 loops! Guess what! They are on clearance for $2.99 originally $7.99. If you want to grab these quick before they sell out, click HERE to take you to there.
I hope the looks calm my little ones down a bit.
What are you doing for rewards and incentives with your little ones this time of year?

Organizing with Stackables!
Organizing with Stackables!
So as you know, I have been slowly packing up the school year. We still have until June 26th but slow and steady wins the race! Besides I am getting the itch to just pack and go!!!
Usually my packing goes well at the beginning and towards the end I just stuff things where there is room. I wanted to avoid that this year because I tend to lose things and dont end up finding it until I start packing again. So this year I went on a hunt for some organizing bins. I found this at and decided to give it a try!

I got these tubs from Really Good Stuff. They come in all different sizes. I ordered the medium but and large. These stackables come in 3 for 19.99. If you order 3 or more sets, you get a great deal of 14.99. I love me a sale!
Its seriously perfect for what Im packing and whats even better is they are stackable! You can keep lining them up on top of one another and it will fit perfectly. This is what my markers looked like before in a regular bin.

Yes.. its messy and I actually forgot I had my markers in there so I didnt even use these markers this year. I hate that!! So I had to change this.

I organized them a bit and then tossed in my new stackables, along with some other bins and crafts. This is how perfectly it lines up! And I hope I dont forget they are in there this following year.

As you can see in my other bins, I have clothespins which I am always in need of and popsicle sticks.
I cant wait to order more. I will need to buy labels and stick them on the stacks just to be extra organized and know where everything is!
Look how it fits just perfectly in my closet.

How do you organize your things at the end of the year?

Organizing Our Days
Organizing Our Days
I dont have an elaborate system for organizing and planning activities. In general, I try to keep things simple and routine but also fun and stimulating for my daughters. Our days and weeks follow a rhythm (posted on the side of the blog) which helps prevent me from wondering what to do each week and allows my daughters the predictability and routine they need. With certain days already dedicated to certain activities, half of the organizing seems like it is already done.
The organizing details of what songs to sing, finger plays to use, crafts to make and more are planned out each month in this planning binder. The binder is divided into months. Each month holds a paper (like the one below) which will be used to plan that month. At the end of every month I sit down for a few minutes and plan for the upcoming month (I have learned to use pencil when writing plans out). At the start of the week I check to see what is planned.
This is my second year doing this, so I have last years to use as a guide which is helpful in knowing what crafts they loved and would like to do again, what finger plays and songs we sang and can use again and what didnt work so well. Of course, there are areas like our cleaning days which I sometimes leave blank because often my daughters are drawn to different tasks or whatever I am cleaning at the time. The planning paper is also helpful for those times when I am on the internet or looking at other blogs and come across a great craft or finger play. I can flip to the month it would work best in and pencil it in. Sometimes the month is half planned just by doing this! Under each month I also store recipes needed, instructions for crafts and any other resources that will be needed.
Behind each monthly planning paper I keep printouts of our finger plays for the month as well as songs or poems we will use. When we have circle time I open up the binder in case I need the words for songs or finger plays. In the back of the binder there are also labeled sections for bean bag games, parachute games, and other circle time activities we may use at any given time.
I have added the planning printout to the list of downloads on the side of the blog for anyone wanting to see it or use it. And, please let me know of any planning tips you may have!
