One Week

One Week

One week since my last post, and a week when we got back to normal with work and school resuming and me getting back to the drawing board for a lot of illustration work for my book......
.........last week i mentioned i would show you what ive been making over the last few months for my dear little new baby grandson......first of all, this little bunny was made especially for him........a boy bunny;)...............he doesnt have a name yet but when one has been chosen i will let you know.............. this bunny will sit on the shelf in the nursery until baby rhys is old enough to play with him.......
............and then he might want to play with this little cart too.......i found it on my travels a while ago and thought it would be perfect for a bunny to ride in......
................besides the little boy bunny i did some baby knitting.....my favourite kind.....
............using this gorgeous baby cashmerino yarn.......so soft and fine and beautiful to knit with......
...............i made the little striped hat from the baby cashmerino book 2 by debbie bliss.....
.............and my final baby make (so far) was a simple striped crochet blanket.......
..........rosie and i chose the  aqua blue (beach) and cream (cornish) from the rooster almerino range as the colours tied in nicely with the nursery bedding they had chosen...........this is a cot blanket and I didnt have a pattern but measured the cot we have here from when charlie and daisy were tiny and used to nap here sometimes..............

...............i worked the blanket in granny stripes with a 4mm hook and made a simple border with three rows of double crochet...........it took a lot of yarn and i had to order some more (twice)........
.............it is very soft and warm and snuggly............
.................and here is the little treasure who will be snuggling up in it soon.......we are all living in baby bliss here at the moment, looking forward so much to the next visit and the next cuddle..............
.............thank you for your visits here to my little blog space, dear readers, and for sharing the making, the crafting and the joys of life :)...........and a special thank you for all your sweet comments on my last post about baby rhys.......what a lovely welcome to the world ..........wishing you all a happy week with cosy crafty times........back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Now Make A Natural Hand Sanitizer At Home !

Now Make A Natural Hand Sanitizer At Home !

A few years ago, a hand sanitizer was a lesser or a not heard term. But now a days, a hand sanitizer is a common thing. Many use it on a daily basis. It comes in handy in case there is no water available. One can carry it anywhere with them. However, some may be against buying it, may be due to its price. Branded ones may come at a cost.
Make A Natural Hand Sanitizer At Home

But, heres the kicker,

Now you can prepare a natural hand sanitizer at home! Thats true! CRB Tech reviews would tell you how to do it. It will cost you cheap as well. So, read further and you can try it out as well.

Many individuals keep little containers of shop purchased hand sanitizer in their bags, glove compartments, and back pockets. They are depended upon to clean hands in the wake of touching shopping carts, and in a few cases, are utilized as a part of place of hand washing in the wake of utilizing the bathroom.

This practice, as indicated by Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, can really be risky. This is on account of hand sanitizers dont kill all germs and are inadequate against hurtful chemicals like pesticides and heavy metals. It is, in this manner, most astute to dependably wash hands using soap and water.

Be that as it may, in the event that you get a kick out of the chance to have a container of hand sanitizer for those minutes when you or your children are not having access to water – e.g. on the metro or in the recreation center - we prescribe making your own wonderful smelling formula utilizing one of the beneath formulas.

1. Recipe for an orange sanitizer:

  • 10 drops of cinnamon essential oil
  • 10 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 5 drops of rosemary essential oil
  • 1/4 cup aloe vera gel
  • 20 drops orange essential oil
  • 5 drops clove essential oil
Just mix the above ingredients in a silicon tube that can be used a number of times, use it as per need.

2. Mind refreshing sanitizer:

  • 1/8 cup vegetable glycerin
  • 10 drops cinnamon, rosemary, and lemon essential oils.
  • 1/4 cup aloe vera gel
  • 3/4 cup rubbing alcohol (at least 91 percent)
The essential oils present in this formula have properties that refresh the mind. Cinnamon enhances concentration, rosemary impacts memory and sharpness, and lemon is a stimulating fragrance that eases depression.

3. Bacteria-destroying musk:

  • 10 drops cinnamon essential oil
  • 10 drops tea tree oil
  • 1/4 cup aloe vera gel
  • 1 tablespoon rubbing alcohol
Blend the aloe vera and rubbing liquor in a little bowl. Include essential oils, blending well. Add purified water to acquire your coveted consistency. Utilize a small funnel or a medicine dropper to exchange to a spray or pump bottle.

Always have in mind when using essential oils. Remember these are extremely concentrated, intense plant extracts. On the off chance that you are new to utilizing essential oils you might need to test for an unfavorably susceptible response before slathering on this hand sanitizer. Similarly as with any regular plant, many could be allergic to it. For taking a patch test blend one drop of essential oil with around 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Rub a bit within your elbow, cover with a swathe, and hold up 24 hours to check whether there is any negative response.

Some of the times its great to permit our bodies to tackle germs and fortify our immunity, however once in a while its decent to have a hand sanitizer accessible for crises times. (Think filthy porta potty, or a child besides you having a sniffle fest.) In these cases, this tender home prepared formula is one of the best other options to commercial hand sanitizers.

CRB Tech reviews would like to advice you to wash your hands whenever possible, even though you have a hand sanitizer.

One of my pieces for PEABODY and SHERMAN

One of my pieces for PEABODY and SHERMAN

Dreamworks announced the Peabody and Sherman feature film in this weeks issue of Entertainment Weekly, and they happened to include one of my early concept paintings of Mr. Peabody himself. Right there next to Robert Downey Jr. (the voice of the smartest dog on earth).

Peabody and Sherman was actually the first project I came to Dreamworks to help develop. There is much more development work by some very talented artists that Im sure youll be seeing in an art of Peabody and Sherman book sometime soon. The original 1960s concept of the worlds smartest dog, his boy, and a TIME MACHINE made this film so much fun to explore and play with!
